MIAMI (CBSMiami) – As the football world waits for the NFL to make a decision on how to handle Tom Brady and the New England Patriots involvement in the Deflategate scandal, one of the Miami Dolphins decided to chime in with his thoughts on Twitter.
Dolphins' second year linebacker Chris McCain thinks the Patriots Super Bowl championship should be stripped away.
The 'whooping' McCain is referring to in the tweet is the Dolphins 33-20 victory over New England in Week 1 of last season.
While he didn't mention the second game between the two teams that took place in December, a dominant 41-13 win by the Patriots, McCain surely has provided some extra bulletin board material for when the Fins and Pats meet in the upcoming season.
Later on during the weekend McCain went back to work on Twitter and took another dig at the team he now refers to as the 'Deflatriots'.
McCain will enter his second NFL season hoping to earn a spot as Miami's starting outside linebacker.
He became a fan favorite last season after earning his way onto the Dolphins 53-man roster, totaling one sack and five tackles in 10 games.
McCain also endeared himself to a special selection of Dol-fans before every game. He would randomly select a kid from the stands who was wearing a Dolphins jersey and bring them onto the field to walk around and even play catch.
