Dolphins Release 11 Players As Roster Cuts Begin

DAVIE (CBSMiami) – The Miami Dolphins have begun the annual ritual of making roster cuts as the team continues to move towards the regular season.
NFL teams must trim their respective rosters down to 75 players by 4 p.m. on Tuesday, September 1st but several clubs, including the Dolphins, aren't waiting until the deadline to begin the process.
Miami announced the following roster cuts around 7:30 p.m. on Sunday evening.

G Bryant Browning
WR LaRon Byrd
WR Kevin Cone
DE Ray Drew
WR Tyler McDonald
DE Kendall Montgomery
TE Gerell Robinson
CB Sammy Seamster
S Phillip Thomas
C/G J.D. Walton
The NFL requires all teams to have their rosters down to 53 players by September 4th at 4 p.m, the day after Miami plays their final preseason game.
