Subtropical Storm Fay Forms South Of Bermuda

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Subtropical Storm Fay formed Friday afternoon hundreds of miles south of Bermuda.

At 7:30 p.m., the system was about 440 miles south of Bermuda with maximum sustained winds of 60 mph. It was moving to the north-northwest at 13 mph.

A Tropical Storm Watch remains in effect for Bermuda and the storm is expected to pass by the island Saturday night.

The NHC said the storm will take a gradual turn to the north over the next 24-hours followed by a turn to the northeast on Sunday.

Some strengthening is expected.
