Deadly Crash On I-75

DAVIE (CBSMiami) - A deadly accident shut down a section of I-75 in Davie for several hours Monday morning.

It happened around 2:40 a.m. near the Stirling road overpass. All northbound lanes were closed in the area and traffic heading north was forced to exit at Sheridan Street.

The Florida Highway Patrol said one person was killed in a single vehicle rollover. The driver, 24-year old Jordan Denis from Cooper City, was ejected from the vehicle. He died on the scene.

His passenger, 22-year old Cynthia Seda, was taken to Memorial Hospital. From there she was transferred to Jackson Memorial Hospital due to the severity of her burns. She's listed in serious condition.

The car ended up in a deep hole the median which is undergoing construction for new express lanes.
