Deadly Accident Closes Section Of I-95

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - A section of I-95 was closed to traffic for hours on Thursday due to a fatal multi-vehicle crash.
The accident, which happened just after 4:15 a.m. just south of Ives Dairy Road, involved four vehicles - one which caught on fire.
An injured woman was taken to Aventura Hospital where she died. Three others were taken to Memorial Regional Hospital.
During the morning rush, northbound drivers were forced to exit the highway at Miami Gardens Drive. Traffic backed up for miles. Drivers were urged to take the Turnpike, State Road 7 or U.S. 1 as alternates
