Police Identify Passenger Who Died After Falling Off Cruise
MIAMI (CBSMiami/AP) -A Carnival cruise passenger who died after falling from a restricted area on the ship, has been identified.
The Miami-Dade Police Department identified the man as Kendall Wernet, a 20-year old from Moncks Corner, South Carolina.
Wernet entered a restricted area on the Carnival Ecstasy while it was docked at PortMiami on Monday. He climbed the ship's forward mast and subsequently fell 20-feet down. He was later pronounced dead at a hospital.
MDPD does not believe there was any foul play, and all signs point to the death as an accident.
