Crist, Rich In Final Push For Florida Primary Votes

JACKSONVILLE (CBSMiami/AP) — After months of campaigning and millions of dollars spent on advertisements and mailers, candidates across Florida will find out Tuesday what their political futures hold.

But Monday, there's a final for votes underway in the Democrats' race to reclaim the governor's mansion.

Former Gov. Charlie Crist, the longtime Republican who is seeking to reclaim his old job as a Democrat, has planned events in Jacksonville, Tampa, Orlando, Wellington and Fort Lauderdale on Monday.

His underdog opponent, former Senate Democratic Leader Nan Rich, is spending time at a phone bank at her Weston campaign headquarters making last-minute get-out-the-vote calls.

Both candidates are vying for a shot to unseat Gov. Rick Scott, who has two mostly unknown primary challengers of his own.
