The case is just one of recent high-profile cases.

Police responded to a home on Navarre Avenue after a woman watering her plants was forced inside of her home and robbed of more than $147,000 in jewelry.

No arrests have been made.

In May, the paper reported, the vice president of programing and original production at Univision was also burglarized.  Police said more than $600,000 in watches were stolen.

On Tuesday, more than 150 people gathered for a crime watch meeting at the Coral Gables Library. Members of the Coral Gables police department, as well as the Fire Department were in attendance.

At least two city commissioners are asking the police to do more about the crime.
