Coast Guard: Seven Rescued & Three Bodies Found Inside Capsized Boat

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Coast Guard search-and-rescue crews are looking for two people 75 miles northeast of West Palm Beach after a boat capsized.

The call came in around noon from the Royal Netherlands Navy Zeeland of a 24-foot center console vessel with seven suspected migrants on top of the hull.

Upon arriving at the boat, the Royal Netherlands Navy rescued seven people and found three bodies inside the hull.

The Royal Netherlands Navy was en route to Key West, Fla., before discovering the overturned vessel.

All of the suspected migrants who were rescued will be transported to customs.

Officials said they were still working to determine the nationalities of the suspected migrants.

The Coast Guard Cutter Etheridge is a 154-foot Fast Response Cutter is based in Miami.

The HC-130 aircrew that is assisting is stationed at Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater, Fla.
