MIAMI (CBSMiami) --  Coast Guard crews rescued two men stranded on remote Bahamanian island on Tuesday afternoon.

The men were ferrying the motor vessel "Bye-Luv Ya-Sea Ya" from the Turks and Caicos to Fort Pierce, Florida when the vessel began to take on water.

It eventually ran aground on Lady Slipper Key just north of Crooked Island, Bahamas.

Coast Guard officials said the Royal Bahamian Defense Force asked for their assistance to rescue the two U.S. citizens.

That's when they sent a helicopter crew to rescue the two men and take them to Great Inagua, Bahamas.

No injuries or medical concerns were reported.
