MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- The U.S. Coast Guard has released video of its first post-storm damage assessment in Haiti.

The video was taken by a Coast Guard Air Station Miami HC-144 Ocean Sentry airplane crew following Hurricane Matthew on October 5th, 2016.

The Ocean Sentry crew reported heavy coastal flooding and significant damage to infrastructure in southern Haiti as well as damage to highways, structures and houses along the northern region of Haiti and the south side of Isle De La Tortue.

Matthew killed at least 114 people as it roared through the Caribbean. Officials said at least 108 of those deaths were in desperately poor Haiti, where many towns were cut off by the storm and the magnitude of the disaster is still just coming into focus.
