PEMBROKE PINES (CBSMiami) -- Hillary Clinton is keeping her eye on the key South Florida battleground as she stopped in Pembroke Pines over the weekend to encourage her supporters to cast their ballots as soon as possible.
On Saturday, Clinton visited C.B. Smith Park on Pines Blvd and Flamingo Road. Rain threatened to dampen the event but it didn't stop the party, as guest speakers included Vice President Joe Biden and Sybrina Fulton, the mother of Trayvon Martin.
"Rain or shine, you all are ready," Clinton said as she thanked the crowd and quickly got into her speech. "And being here with all of you on this last Saturday before the election really gets me geared up."
Clinton is making a final swing through Florida before Tuesday's election, a state that's seen more than 5.3 million votes cast early, so far. That's about 500,000 more than in 2012.
"We are seeing tremendous momentum, large amounts of people turning out, breaking records in a lot of places," she said.
In a push for young voters, the Democratic candidate also couldn't pass up the opportunity to gossip about who she was hanging out with the night before in Philadelphia.
"Just in case you didn't notice last night, I gotta say, I was with Jay Z and Beyoncé," Clinton boasted. "You know, when a famous entertainer says 'I want to support you and get out the vote,' that is such a gift. But the thought that went into what they did last night, my personal favorite part was Beyoncé had her backup singers and dancers in pantsuits!"
On Friday, Clinton visited the same West Miami community center where Sen. Marco Rubio voted earlier in the week -- for himself and, he implied, Donald Trump.
Clinton joked that the debates against her Republican rival have given her the strength needed to run the country.
"I spent four and a half hours standing next to Donald Trump on that stage, proving once and for all that I have the stamina to be President of the United States," she quipped. "Now, you know, he kept saying things like, 'what have you done in 30 years?' And I'm thinking to myself, Donald, you don't wanna go there."
So she went there.
"I mean, I would have been happy to spend all four hours talking about what I did, compared to what he's done for the last 30 years," she admitted. "As your first lady, I helped to create the Children's Health Insurance program, which ensures 8 million kids a year. As senator, I worked to rebuild New York City and make our country safer, and get our first responders the healthcare they needed. As your secretary of state, I traveled to 112 countries. I've stood up for human rights, women's rights, worker rights and LGBT rights. I have spent my career fighting for kids and families and if you elect me, that's what I'll keep doing."
Then, like a sign from above, the nominee's voice grew louder, the crowd roared, and more rain fell from a darkening sky. Just another beautiful day in the sunshine state, Mrs. Clinton.
