NEW YORK (CBSMiami/AP) – Election Day turned into Election Night into Election Tomorrow – and still, no winner has been called.
So, with votes still being tabulated, Hillary Clinton's campaign chairman turned away the crowd at the Javits Center, saying, "We're not going to have anything more to say tonight."
John Podesta told a crowd in New York early Wednesday that with states still uncalled they should go home and rest up.
Clinton trails in the Electoral College count and Donald Trump is close to breaking the 270-vote threshold to become president.
Podesta told the crowd Clinton "has done an amazing job" and "is not done yet."
