South Florida weather: More storms in the forecast with possible flooding
MIAMI - The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm watch for parts of Broward County amid the possibility for more flooding in the region.
According to the weather service, the flooding watch, issued around 2:30 p.m. and not set to expire for six hours, includes Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach areas.
The National Weather Service's Storm Prediction Center has placed most of Broward and Miami-Dade under a marginal risk of severe weather due to the potential for heavy downpours, flooding, frequent lightning, gusty winds, and small hail.
An isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.
The worst weather likely will take place between noon and 9 p.m.
Tuesday the rain chance stays high as we remain unsettled with scattered storms in the afternoon and evening. Wednesday is not looking quite as wet but some afternoon storms will develop again.
Late week we'll be warmer with highs soaring to the upper 80s. The rain chance increases Friday into Saturday.
