CORAL GABLES (CBSMiami) -- The Hurricanes were drafted in the 2015 NFL Draft, leaving many fans to wonder how they could finish sixth and seventh. Many pointed to head Coach Al Golden.

He hasn't won enough in Miami to keep a restless fan base happy but when asked about his job security entering his 5th season, he said it's not his concern.

Without a signature win, and a 0-and-2 record in bowl games, Golden said these last 8 months have actually been the easiest going into a season.

When CBS4's Mike Cugno talked to coaches and players at Friday's media day, they echoed their leader's sentiments of ignore the outside noise and focus on getting Miami back to what it once was, a national power house.

Miami's best chance at a winning record may rest on the shoulders of 19-year old Quarterback Brad Kaaya. As a freshman, he was one of the most potent signal callers in the conference and now he'll be expected to lead a program which hasn't won a bowl game since 2006.
