MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Do cancer patients need a COVID-19 vaccine booster shot?

About 6% of cancer patients who get the COVID-19 vaccine do not develop an immune response to the virus.

That's according to researchers in Texas who now question if patients should receive a third booster shot.

Doctors say cancer patients should continue to take precautions, including masking and social distancing.
