MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The teen son of Canada's Consul General was in adult court Friday facing a murder charge in connection with a drug-related shootout that killed his brother—but the appearance was an accident.
Marc Wabafiyebazu's appeared in court Friday, instead of Monday, after a misprint on the docket.
Friday marks the official transition of Wabafiyebazu's case from the juvenile system into adult court.
At the age of 15, Wabafiyebazu is locked up at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. He was booked at the adult jail Friday morning.
Wabafiyebazu was brought to court Friday, his first time appearing in the adult court system, to verify that he will be tried as an adult but it was the wrong day. The teen will be back in court for the hearing Monday.

Wabafiyebazu is charged with murder for his alleged role in a drug deal at a Miami apartment complex that got his brother Jean and another man killed. Two others were also shot and are facing charges.
Marc and Jean Wabafiyebazu are the sons of Canadian Consul General in Miami, Roxanne Dubé. Police said the brothers drove Dubé's BMW with diplomatic plates to the drug deal. The brothers are accused of planning to rob the drug dealers.
A grand jury, on Wednesday, indicted Marc Wabafiyebazu and the two other surviving men, also, the state moved forward to charge the teen as an adult.
Though police said his brother and the other suspect shot each other to death, the other men are facing murder charges for being involved in a felony that resulted in death.
Marc Wabafiyebazu said they will plead not guilty when he is arraigned. His next hearing is set for Monday where he will formally hear the charges the state is bringing against him.
