MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Miami-Dade School Board officials are looking into what to do with students involved in a fight filmed in a Miami-Dade School.
Lt. Raul Correa with Miami-Dade Schools Police Dept. said the fight appears to stem from an incident between students at South Dade High School in Homestead.
Numerous videos posted on social media shows a brawl breaking out between a number of students at what appears to be the cafeteria of the school.
In one of the videos, one of the students is seen kicking another in the head.
Student John Pandilinan described watching as one girl repeatedly stomped on another girl on the floor.
"This girl got kicked in the neck. That other girl was pulling her hair; pow, pow, pow!" Pandilinan said. "I said, 'Oh, my God, that's crazy."
In another video, you can see more a chaotic scene as school security is seen struggling to break up one of the brawls
Student Maribel Ceballos said she couldn't see the fight for the huge "gallery" that had gathered around. "There were a whole bunch of people jumping up and down and going crazy," Ceballos said.
Some parents were aghast.
"I don't think it's safe, and I don't think it's right.," said Amber Fernida who has a child at the school. "They should put more emphasis on it, and show how important it is for the safety of the children, and how they should take care of them."
One father was not concerned.
"They're kids, they're going to fight," said parent Ron Smith. "It's a good school."
Goodness, however, was lacking in the violent video from the school cafeteria.
Following the fight, the school administration handled the issue of disciplining the young adults.
Correa says no one was seriously injured in the fight and no one was arrested or detained.
It remains unclear why the fights broke out.
Miami-Dade County Public Schools' Administrative Director John Schuster issued a statement on the incident Tuesday saying,
"The District has been working diligently to teach students the importance of values such as respect, restraint, responsibility and how to avoid these unfortunate situations. School administrators are meeting with parents and will determine the appropriate disciplinary actions for the students involved."
