BETTENDORF (AP) — Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush is telling an audience of eastern Iowa party faithful that a conservative will win the White House if the party convinces Americans it can knock down barriers to economic growth.
Bush's upbeat message is in sync with a new campaign video released Tuesday.
Bush says Republicans need to convince doubters "this should be the greatest time to be alive in this world."
The former Florida governor returned to the home of the leadoff precinct caucuses for a three-day trip beginning in eastern Iowa, an area Mitt Romney carried during his 2008 and 2012 presidential campaigns. Bush is focusing on his call for curbing federal regulatory power, a balanced budget amendment and term limits for members of Congress.
Bush continues campaigning in eastern Iowa Wednesday.
