BSO: Friendship Ends In Attempted Murder-Suicide

WEST PARK (CBSMiami) -- Investigators are trying to determine what led to a shooting that left a man fighting for his life and another dead, believed to have taken his own.

It happened at 3715 S.W. 58th Terrace around 2:15 a.m. on Saturday.

"A West Park family ran out of their home early this morning to investigate the sound of gunfire," the Broward Sheriff's Office said. "They found their loved one suffering from a gunshot wound and his best friend holding a gun to his head, which he then fired."

The victim was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital in critical condition.

The case is under investigation.
