Broward Teacher Admits Role In Smuggling 667 Pounds Of Pot

PALM BEACH (CBSMiami) – A 39-year-old Broward preschool teacher is no longer working with students after she admitted to being part of a conspiracy that smuggled massive amounts of pot into Palm Beach County.
According to the Sun Sentinel, Tarakiki Dozier pleaded guilty to one count of conspiring to import marijuana during a hearing in federal court in West Palm Beach on Thursday.
Dozier's accomplices were Reinaldo Whylly and Leonard Johnson. The three reportedly smuggled in 667 pounds of marijuana.
The Broward school district moved Dozier from her role as a preschool special needs teacher to a position where she no longer had contact with students.
Dozier has been free on a $100,000 bond signed by her parents.
One of Dozier's lawyers told the Sun Sentinel that Whylly has not been arrested yet. The lawyer also suspects Whylly could be in the Bahamas, but did not comment further.
Court records show Johnson, who has pleaded not guilty, is also free on bond.
