All-Clear After Suspicious Substance Found At Broward Courthouse

FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) -- Authorities gave the all-clear at the Broward County courthouse after a suspicious substance prompted an evacuation Friday.
Just before 4:30 p.m., authorities found the substance was not hazardous and gave the all-clear.
Less than an hour before, Hazmat crews were evacuating the main courthouse after getting a call about the suspicious substance.
Deputies say someone found the substance inside an envelope, prompting the call.
Authorities have not said what the suspicious substance was.
Those who were evacuated from the courthouse were allowed back in.
