Police respond to synagogue bomb threats

FORT LAUDERDALE -- South Florida synagogues are on high alert following reported bomb threats.

Temple Judea in Coral Gables, Temple Sinai in Northeast Miami-Dade and Congregation Kol Tikvah in Parkland were searched and deemed safe.

Temple Judea sent an email to congregants saying their temple along with nearly 24 others across the state received a bomb threat via email.

The email went on to say their security team, in collaboration with local law enforcement, responded promptly and efficiently to ensure the safety of everyone on their campus.
