Broussard Thought the Knicks Would Make the Playoffs

The New York Knicks are maybe the worst team in professional sports and certainly the NBA's least entertaining.

At 15-62, they possess the league's worst record and are on an inside track to the No. 1 pick this June. Yet we can count ESPN's Chris Broussard among the believers in Phil Jackson's putrid squad before the season, as the NBA analyst initially pegged them as a "seven or eight seed."

"I did not think they'd be this bad," he said on 560 WQAM's Marc Hochman Show with Zach Krantz. "Like Phil Jackson said, I actually thought they had a chance to make the playoffs.

"The fact that they're the worst team in the league, and they are playing a D-League team, the fact people were seriously wondering and debating whether or not a college team made up of a bunch of freshman could beat you, that just shows you how bad this season has been."
