MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Broadway heads south bringing a new musical sure to make Miami step up and stand out.
Winner of six Tony Awards including Best Musical, Kinky Boots is the story of a struggling shoe maker who turns his business around with the help of an entertainer in need of some sturdy stilettos.
Inspired by a true story, it's based on the book four-time Tony winner Harvey Fierstein and includes a Tony-winning musical score written by Cyndi Lauper.
The Ziff Ballet Opera House is now showing Kinky Boots at the Adrienne Arsht Center.
