BOYNTON BEACH (CBSMiami) – A man authorities are jokingly calling The Grinch is back in jail just hours after being released for a different crime.

Francis Keller, 56, was arrested Friday night after being caught opening packages inside the U.S. Post Office at 217 N. Seacrest Boulevard in Boynton Beach.

He was released on bond but quickly found his way back behind bars after officers arrested him again early Sunday morning, this time for armed robbery and armed carjacking.

According to authorities, Keller went to the Sonic Drive-In in Boynton Beach and approached an employee to ask about getting a job.

He then pulled a gun from his waistband and demanded the employee's money.

After robbing the 21-year-old employee, Keller ran to a vehicle in the restaurant parking lot and pointed the gun at the drier.

Keller demanded the teen driver get out of the car but instead he and the other occupants of the car, also teenagers, ducked down and dialed 911.

After seeing this, Keller took off on foot but was quickly apprehended after his description was given to authorities.

He is back in the Palm Beach County Jail where it's expected that he will remain through the holidays due to clearly violating the terms of his recent bond.
