Bond Set For Trio Accused Of Stealing Millions From Aviation Dept.
MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- A trio accused of stealing more than $2 million from Miami-Dade County's aviation department faced a judge in bond court Friday.
The judge oredered Elena Iglesias, 45,he and her husband Lazario Iglesias, 47, to be held on $100,000 bond each.
Their coworker Malena Rodriguez, 47, is being held on $25,000 bond.
The attorneys representing all three defendants said they were able to negotiate a lower bond with the State Attorney's Office.

Family members of the three defendants were also in court to testify that the bond money came from legitimate sources.
The judge also ordered the trio to surrender their passports.
The three are accused of using "shadow" bank accounts to divert money into personal bank accounts $2.19 million worth of lounge vouchers provided by various airlines and meant for Miami-Dade Aviation.
Elena Iglesias, is a 20-year employee of a firm contracted by Miami International Airport that operates an exclusive lounge for fliers.
The trio is accused of using the money to pay off credit card bills which included $546,008 in American Express debts in addition to car loans, prepaid college accounts and mortgages.

According to investigators, the alleged money laundering took place between January 2012 and February 2014.
The three are charged with organized fraud, grand theft and money laundering.
