Big Weekend Change On Dolphin Expressway

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - There will be a major change to State Road 836/Dolphin Expressway this weekend. Here's what you need to know.

All westbound lanes on SR 836 will be closed at Red Road on Friday between the hours of 11 p.m. and 6 a.m.

That closure is in preparation for Saturday when a new traffic pattern will be implemented on westbound 836 after NW 57^th Avenue.  Here are the changes:

• Westbound drivers on 836 exiting at NW 72^nd Avenue will need to exit approximately one-half mile earlier
• All westbound traffic will be shifted to the left after 57^th Avenue
• The exit ramps to SR 826 north and south will remain on the left
