Big I-95 Lane Closure On Saturday

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - A traffic alert for people who plan to be on I-95 in northern Miami-Dade Friday night and Saturday.

Crews will be installing plastic poles for the express lanes on the southbound side of the highway so the express lanes and three general purpose lanes will be closed from Hallandale Beach Boulevard to Ives Dairy Road.

The lanes will close at 11 p.m. Friday and not reopen until 5 p.m. on Saturday.

That means for most of Saturday during the day there will be only one southbound lane open.

Drivers can expect big delays due to the closure so they may want to take U.S. 441 or the Turnpike instead.
