Lunch Buffet: Mon to Fri - 11:30 to 3 p.m.

This lunch buffet features freshly baked bread and a full array of Italian food. The buffet usually consists of two meat dishes, salad, soup and whole-wheat pasta dishes. This restaurant is known for its pricy, fancy dinner entrees, but you'll get the same atmosphere for less than half the price at the buffet. If you're not feeling an all-you-can-eat meal, choose from Acquolina's regular lunch menu. But with a price like $8.95, it's hard to say no to the idea of endless trips through the buffet line, offering hearty Italian cuisine with every round.

Bayside Marketplace has several notable restaurants, but they're often expensive. The Knife is also pricy, but the resulting meal is worth more than you pay. This Argentinian steakhouse offers cuts of meat like sirloin steak, skirt steak, short ribs, veal breast and grilled sausage to fill you up. Side options (if you get that far) include Waldorf and Caprese Salads and ceviche. Desserts are an entirely different story, ranging from rice pudding to jello to flan with caramel and cream. Pay under $26 any day of the week to consume a plentiful lunch, or save your appetite for later and pay just under $30 for one of the most filling dinners (if done right) in the area.
