MIAMI (CBSMiami) – There's a lot of excitement at Belen Jesuit Preparatory School this week.

The school's crew team is headed across the Atlantic Ocean for a very special row.

They are taking part in the Henley Royal Regatta in London.

It's quite an honor for the high school students. They'll be on their way to London this weekend for the best known regatta in the world.

The fourteen crew members that will make the trip received a blessing today from Belen's school president.

The Henley Royal Regatta is the oldest in the world and each year a few select U.S. schools are invited to compete along with schools from throughout Europe.

This past school year, the team competed in various prestigious rowing regatta's, including the Head of the Charles in Boston.

More impressively, a number of the seniors will be going to high academic colleges like the University of Pennsylvania, Georgetown and Cornell where they will compete in crew.

These kids are used to success and now they go on the biggest stage yet.

The regatta begins on July 1st so the team will have practice time and time to explore London.
