Autopsy: Ryan Uhre Died From Injuries Sustained After Fall

DAVIE (CBSMiami) – Police in Tallahassee have released the preliminary autopsy results from the death of Florida State University graduate Ryan Uhre.

Uhre's death appears to have been accidental according to the Leon County Medical Examiner.

It's believed Uhre, 23, fell from a second story of the building where his body was discovered.

According to the coroner, Uhre's injuries "were not survivable" and he died "within minutes of falling," Officer Scott Beck of Tallahassee PD told CBS4.

Officers said the building did not have a second floor and it appears Uhre fell through a window on the second story and died from the injuries he sustained after falling to the ground floor.

Investigators believe Uhre was alone at the time of the accident.

A final autopsy report will be released that will include toxicology reports.

Friends and family held a memorial service for Uhre  in Davie over the weekend.

Uhre grew up in Weston, wrestled at St. Thomas Aquinas High School and was planning to go to law school.

He was living in Tallahassee when he disappeared February 2, 2014.

His family and friends posted fliers in North and South Florida, held a vigil, and waited for word.

After searching, hoping, and praying, Uhre's family learned last week his body was found in an abandoned building in downtown Tallahassee in the same area he was last seen.
