A Deeper Look Into Life Of Murdered Davie Woman
DAVIE (CBSMiami) – Amid a death investigation, authorities are getting a deeper look at the life of a woman killed in her Davie home.
Jill Halliburton Su volunteered at Insight For The Blind in Fort Lauderdale. She spent hundreds of hours working there over the past nine years, recording material donated to the blind.
Su was supposed to be there on Tuesday but no one knew the reason for her absence until news of her death emerged.
"She was so popular with everyone and would do whatever was needed either reading or monitoring recordings," said Executive Director Mathew Corey.
Su inscribed the lettering on a donor wall leaving a lasting legacy.
"This is a family and the people here have a calling and no one did it better than Jill," said Harry Sharp of Insight For the Blind.

Su's spacious home she shared with her husband, renowned entomologist Dr. Nan Yao Su, remains a crime scene.
Davie Police executed a search warrant and for a second day on Wednesday dive teams were scouring the lake behind the house.
"We don't want to get into specifics of what they are looking for but we do think there is evidence connected to the crime," said Davie Police Captain Dale Engle.
Police confirm a back glass door by the pool was smashed. Detectives are reviewing surveillance in the community and talking to everyone who knew Su.
