Attempted traffic stop leads to crash, bailout in NW Miami

MIAMI - Miami police have set up a perimeter Tuesday evening in Northwest Miami after a bailout, following an attempted traffic stop and a collision.  

Police say that around 8 p.m., units attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a black Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat.

"The vehicle fled, nearly striking 2 officers and colliding into 2 parked vehicles," police said. 

The Challenger eventually stopped near NE 2 Ave and 71 St where the occupants bailed out of the vehicle.

Police did not say how many occupants had bailed out of the vehicle.   

The police perimeter has been set up between NE 3 Ave - North Miami Ave along 71 - 73 St.

No reported injuries had been reported.
