The unmarked Dodge Charger was parked in front of the officer's southwest Miami-Dade home when it stolen Friday morning. The officer said his two other personal cars had been broken into.

The stolen Charger was discovered the following day submerged in a canal at 162nd Avenue and S.W. 42nd Street.

Information led investigators to a 15-year old and 19-year old Christian Carvajal who were both arrested. Police confirmed they were able to recover some of the weapons that were in the car at the time it was taken.

Detectives are trying to determine if the theft of the Charger is related to a number of other break-ins in the neighborhood. Two of the officer's neighbor's said their vehicles had also been burglarized in the past year.
