Arrest Made In Sexual Battery At Downtown Disney
ORLANDO (CBSMiami/AP) — A Central Florida man was arrested after a woman was found naked in some bushes outside Disney Springs - which used to be known as Downtown Disney.
Hector Herrera, 26 was arrested by Orange County Sheriff's deputies at his home Thursday on a warrant in "the sexual battery incident," according to the Orlando Sentinel. He was charged with sexual battery on a physically incapacitated person.
The woman was found by a security guard around 5:45 a.m. on July 16 in some bushes near the House of Blues. Her clothing, purse and a used condom were found nearby.
The woman told sheriff's investigators that she and a friend had been drinking earlier in the evening before going to Walt Disney World's entertainment district. She said she did not remember leaving the House of Blues where she had gone to dance.
The woman said she had no recollection of what happened, and that if any sexual activity took place, it wasn't consensual.
