WILTON MANORS (CBSMiami) -- Just days after a federal judge dismissed charges against a man for allegations of an online threat to the gay community in Wilton Manors, that same man found himself back in a Broward Court.

Wilton Manors Police walked from business to business Thursday afternoon, handing out flyers about Craig Jungwirth.

"We're going around handing these out to all the local businesses along Wilton Drive," explained Officer Jennifer Bickhardt as she passed them out.

They're updating everyone, letting them know federal charges against Jungwirth were dismissed. He was accused of making a threatening post on Facebook in August against the gay community saying, "none of you deserve to live. If you losers thought the Pulse nightclub shooting was bad, wait till you see what I'm planning for Labor Day."

"The prosecution, federally, has been stopped," Bickhardt explained, but continued, "it's still under investigation."

Even though the federal charges have been dismissed against Jungwirth, police say the investigation is still going on. Those threats shook this predominantly gay community and still have many on edge.

"It's a little nerve-racking, a little scary, threatening," said Karen Carroll with Chic Optique. "We don't need another pulse reaction here. That's the thing, we have a lot of clubs here. A lot of people come here, they feel very welcomed in the gay community and now it could be a threat that we're being targeted."

Police want everyone to keep their eyes and ears open.

"If you see something say something in reference to the social media threats that were posted on Facebook last year," said Officer Bickhardt.

Businesses are grateful for the update so they can do their part. "It also makes us aware that we have to pay attention," said Joseph Brenner, who works on Wilton Drive. "And make sure police are aware of anything we hear."

Jungwirth's federal charges may have been dropped, but his legal troubles continue. He was in bond court Thursday morning on unrelated charges.

"You're also being held for a writ of attachment for a petition for protection against stalking," explained Judge Michael Davis.

Aside from the stalking allegation, Jungwirth is also accused of running out on a dinner tab and defacing property.

He's being held without bond. He has another court hearing set for January 9th.
