DANIA BEACH (CBSMiami) -- Amid the search for the driver who ran over two young brothers, one of the victim's died just days before Christmas.
"Pain, it hurts to have to bury your child," said the boys' father Apollo Brown. "We are very hurt right now."
On December 8th, the two brothers, Apollo Brown, Jr., 8, and Kelvron Florence, 14, were hit while walking home from a basketball game.

On Friday evening, 8-year old Brown was declared dead at Memorial Regional Hospital. Meantime, his brother is still in the hospital.
Fourteen year-old Kelvon is now awake but still can't speak. He has no idea his little brother has died.
"We are not going to let him know, right now, because he is still critical we don't want him to get overwhelmed by whats going on with his little brother," said Brown.
The family continues to plead for information on the driver.
"We will not stop until this person turns himself in," said Benita McKnight, the boys' Godmother.
"Just to see his Christmas list sitting around you know now I can't fulfill his wishes because he is dead," said Brown.
The only evidence investigators had earlier this month was a shard of glass from the vehicles head light, a piece of a fog light and an emblem from the grill.
Sheriff's deputies believe a newer model Toyota Tacoma truck slammed into the boys on Bryan Road near Stirling Road.
As of earlier this month, deputies said they had received some tips in the case but they needed critical information before they could make an arrest.
Broward Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,500 for anonymous information about the vehicle or the driver that leads to an arrest.
Anyone with information, call Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
