School fight leads to 5 people shot in Miami Gardens

MIAMI - A fight involving several students at Miami Norland Senior High School in Miami Gardens Monday afternoon escalated to shots fired and 5 people injured, including 2 teenagers.  

Miami Gardens Police said they responded to an emergency call after 4 p.m. in the 1400 block of NW 197 Street.

Two teens were rushed to Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital and three adults were taken to Hollywood Memorial and are in stable condition.

Authorities said all the victims were shot in their lower extremities and are expected to recover.

CBS News Miami's Chelsea Jones said the fight spilled over to the street, where adults got involved. 

Cell phone video of the fight, obtained by CBS News Miami, shows the mayhem at the school. 

Authorities are looking at the video to determine if the shooter appears in the video. 

Police said they had one person of interest in custody.  

Authorities continue to investigate.
