DELRAY BEACH (CBSMiami) -- Early morning beachgoers got quite the sight Monday - a large, dead hammerhead shark on shore.
By 10 a.m., crews had already removed the shark from the Delray Beach shore, according to CBS12.
The 10-foot hammerhead shark had washed up on the shore sometime Monday morning by a lifeguard tower just North of Atlantic Avenue and State Road A1A (SR A1A).
It remains unclear what happened to the shark that caused it to wash up.
