Yorba Linda Struck By Magnitude-3.6 Earthquake

YORBA LINDA (CBSLA) — A minor earthquake jolted Yorba Linda awake Wednesday.

The magnitude-3.6 quake struck about five miles east-southeast of Yorba Linda at a depth of about 2 miles at 5:06 a.m., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. It was upgraded from an initial magnitude of 3.5.

There were reports that the temblor was felt as far north as Oxnard and Santa Barbara and as far south as San Diego. A "Did You Feel It?" report was even submitted from as far as Yuma, Arizona, nearly 194 miles to the southeast.

The quake was followed by several aftershocks in the area, ranging in magnitude from 1.0 to 2.2.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
