Wrestling Coach Booked On Suspicion Of Inappropriate Conduct With Teen

WEST COVINA (CBSLA.com) — Authorities in West Covina say a part-time wrestling coach has been arrested and booked on suspicion of engaging in inappropriate conduct with a 17-year-old.

Anthony Vidales of Covina was arrested last Wednesday and booked into the West Covina Police Department, according to a written statement

Police said the 29-year-old Vidales, who is a contracted coach assigned to South Hills High School, is accused of inappropriate conduct with a student.

It was not made clear whether the alleged victim was a student at the school where Vidales worked, however.

Police did say they launched their investigation on Jan. 7 after allegations surfaced.

Vidales' bail was set at $20,000.

No further details have been released.
