Single Mom Killed By Van In South LA Hit-And-Run

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) – Police are searching for a van which struck and killed a single mom in South Los Angeles early Monday morning.
The collision occurred at about 3:30 a.m. in the area of Vernon Avenue and Crocker Street, according to Los Angeles police.
The victim, later identified as Ana Rica, 33, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to CBS2's Dave Lopez.
Her brother told Lopez that Rica was homeless and would occasionally stay at homeless shelters.
The circumstances of the collision were not confirmed. The suspect vehicle was described as a white van, possibly a minivan, Kraft said.
Police were investigating.
