Woman Dies After Being Dropped Off At Hospital With Gunshot Wounds
COMPTON (CBSLA.com) –A teen who died after being dropped off at a hospital Friday night with gunshot wounds was shot on a Compton street, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department reports.
Just before 6 p.m., deputies received a report of a Hispanic woman who had been dropped off at a hospital with gunshot wounds. She later died of her injuries. She was identified Saturday as 18-year-old Alexis Orona.
Investigators determined the shooting happened at the intersection of South Tamarin Avenue and Raymond Street in Compton, the sheriff's department said. Orona was possibly dropped off at the hospital in a white-compact vehicle.
Investigators had no suspect information or motive in the shooting.
