Woman seriously injured after getting struck by two hit-and-run drivers in Menifee
Authorities are searching for two hit-and-run drivers that struck a woman walking on the side of the road in Menifee on Sunday evening.
The scene unfolded at around 7 p.m. near Ethanac Road and Sherman Road, according to the Menifee Police Department.
Officers say that the woman was on the shoulder of Ethanac when a SUV clipped her, which caused her to spin onto the other side of the road. It was there that she was hit by a sedan before she could move.
Both drivers fled without stopping, leaving the woman in the road.
Good Samaritans called 911 and paramedics rushed the victim to the hospital for treatment. At the latest she is said to be in stable condition.
"It is unknown whether alcohol or drugs were factors in the collision," police said.
