Police searching for driver that killed a Tarzana jogger

A woman was killed after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Tarzana Tuesday night and police are still looking for the driver responsible. 

Los Angeles Police Department officers were called at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday to Reseda Boulevard near Braemar Country Club where they found the victim in the street. Wednesday afternoon, the victim was identified as Rosa Zareaseisan, 45 of Los Angeles.

"It was definitely very, very high speed because the car parts were everywhere," said witness Aidin Yousefi. "I saw these AirPods in the street and I saw a broken cell phone and I was trying to call 911, but I couldn't. But my girlfriend was actually able to call 911."

Investigators say Zareaseisan was possibly out for a run when she was hit by a vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

"I wish I could do something, but it was too late," said Yousefi.

The driver left the scene and police did not release a description of the vehicle. Investigators are researching the debris from the collision that was found on the road on Reseda Boulevard for possible clues.

Detectives believe the debris recovered from the scene may belong to a Range Rover SUV.
