Woman Dies After Being Hit By Vehicles On 710 Freeway
LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com) — A woman died after being struck by at least three vehicles early Sunday morning on the 710 Freeway north of Anaheim Street.
The first motorist to strike the woman, who was running across the northbound lanes of the freeway, was later arrested on suspicion of drunken driving, according to a statement from the California Highway Patrol. Eric J. Nagao, 51, of Long Beach,was driving a 2004 Toyota Tacoma that struck the woman around 1 a.m.
After the woman was hit by the Tacoma, she was then struck by a 2005 Toyota Scion and a 2010 Toyota Camry, the CHP said. All three vehicles then pulled to the right shoulder of the freeway. The woman, whose identity has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
