Will Ferrell & Kristen Wiig's Lifetime Movie Is Happening...Again

Following reports that comedic duo Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig were axing a planned Lifetime movie, a poster for the upcoming film has debuted in Hollywood.

Earlier this year, news broke that both Ferrell and Wiig were working on a "top secret" project together. That secret project ended up being "A Deadly Adoption," an alleged Lifetime movie that would pay homage to the made-for-TV movie genre. Back then, Lifetime stated that the movie had already been taped but wanted to wait until the summer to air it for their 25th anniversary. But almost immediately following news of the movie's premiere, Ferrell and Wiig announced that they were abandoning the project, citing that they were disappointed word got out.

Now, it seems that our crushed dreams may live on after a billboard for the movie popped up in Hollywood. Take a look for yourself:

Who knows if the movie will get yanked again or if this was all just a prank on top of a prank being played by the duo. Either way, seeing both Ferrell and Wiig in a Lifetime TV movie has funny written all over it.

"A Deadly Adoption" will air June 20 on Lifetime and follows Ferrell and Wiig as a married couple who take care of the woman pregnant with the baby they're adopting. Things get more campy and complicated when their plans don't play out as they originally thought they would.

Will Ferrell will executive produce the film with his longtime collaborator and former SNL writer Adam McKay.
