Decisions, decisions. With Halloween inching closer and the weather finally mellowing out and allowing all of us to enjoy the day, the flood of things to do, places to visit, and people to see continues to pour. While that isn't a bad thing, the endless list of options is tough to sort through and even more impossible to choose between. Like we do every week, we have sifted through the calendars to find out which direction to point you in. Here is your itinerary for this weekend in LA.

Friday, October 23

Long Beach Zombie Walk
Rainbow Lagoon
E Shoreline Dr
Long Beach, CA 90802
(562) 570-3100
www.longbeachzombiefest.com

Leave to the artistically-nurturing neighborhoods of Long Beach to take the conventional idea of a street faire and turn it into a zombie apocalypse. While the three-day event is lined with live music stages, food vendors, and loads and loads of art and merchandise, all Zombie-themed of course, the spectacle is still the thousands of people roaming that corner of the city dressed to the nines in full zombie gear. The Zombie walk has become one of the city's most anticipated annual events and the Walking Dead LBC is a party that scores a win across all social divides.

Micheladad Rumble
Santa Anita Park
285 W Huntington Dr.
Arcadia, CA 91007
(626) 574-7223
www.micheladarumble.com

In what can best be described as the blue-collar bloody mary, the michelada is a cocktail specific to Southern California. The "chela" has long since been a flavorful twist on a cold Mexican –style lager, by adding tomato juice, spices, and citrus to beer. However, the drink's popularity has lead to some innovative flavor combinations as the michelada is now becoming a household name. Shaping up to be the largest event of it's kind, the Michelada Rumble pits some of Southern California's best recipes against each other to earn bragging rights for best in show. With dozens of samples being poured in the infield of Santa Anita, horseracing is paired with bloody beer, an art show curated by LA's very own ArtSoup collective, a custom car show, and live music from Smiths tribute These Handsome Devils and DJ Jeremiah Red of KROQ.

Hike Through Malibu Creek State Park
1925 Las Virgenes Rd
Calabasas, CA 91302
(818) 880-0367

To get to Malibu Creek State Park, you'll want to take PCH North/West to Malibu Canyon Road and turn right past Pepperdine University. Pass through the tunnel and past the light at Pluma Road. Before you hit Mulholland Highway, turn left into Malibu Creek State Park. Or, if you're coming from the Valley side, take one of the canyons over. Spanning over 7,000 acres, this park has some of the most beautiful scenery around LA to not only get some exercise in, but also take in some stunning views of the ocean. You'l also get to visit the outdoor set of the legendary and iconic TV show M*A*S*H. Drawing visitors from around the world even after the show went off the air, the park is a major attraction for those looking to reconnect to the past. In fact, the park is the former location ranch of 20th Century Fox studios, which owned this stunning land from 1946 to 1974. Many films and TV programs were shot in Malibu Creek State Park, including Robert Altman's original 1970 "M*A*S*H" film, "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" and "Planet of the Apes" (1968).
