Celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s 85th birthday by attending the Kingdom Parade, which has taken place for the past 33 years in Los Angeles. This year's theme, "Ain't Gonna Let Nobody Turn Us 'Round," will feature floats, marching bands, exhibitors, and food vendors. Beginning at 11am at Martin Luther King Blvd. and Western Avenue, it will travel west on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd to Crenshaw Blvd and then south on Crenshaw Blvd to Vernon Ave with a festival along Crenshaw at Leimert Park. Come out and celebrate a true icon and civil rights movement leader.

This Tuesday, the hilarious musical returns to Los Angeles for a five-month-run at the Pantages Theatre. The play, opening Tuesday evening was Written by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the Emmy Award winning duo of the television hit "South Park". The Book of Mormon features hilarious and disrespectful humor you could expect from the pair. The play tells the story of two young Mormon missionaries who are sent to a remote village in Uganda where a warlord is threatening the local people. Naïve and optimistic, the two missionaries attempt to share the "Book of Mormon".
